THE PURPOSE:
As the Assistant Designer you will lend both creative and practical support to designers. You will also coordinate and work with wash houses to develop standards for the season. You are detail oriented and organized for a fast paced process and ability to multi task.
THE ROLE (what you are accountable for)
Assist Designer in development and sketching as needed.
Fabric sourcing & trim development with vendors. Issue P.O.'s for sample fabric, trims, etc.
Be aware and adhere to all Calendar deadlines.
Form Line sheets.
Work on BOM's initial style set up for tech packs in Full Circle.
Assist Designer in seasonal research and Concept prep.
Assist Designer with pattern request implementation.
Work with Graphics department on seasonal graphics styles.
Attend fittings and note taking on any updates needed on style set up.
Participate in meetings with fabric and trim vendors and factories as needed.
Help to work with pattern maker, sewers & tech to ensure timely flow of pattern requests, sew-by completion, rigid samples and tech packs.
Seasonal fabric organization & help in trials to narrow down fabric.
Track internal development milestones to meet larger GTM calendar and SMS deadline dates.
Seasonal research and concept prep.
Create and maintain line sheets.
Organize and prepare detail sheets when needed, keep track and check in garments when received.
Develop men's denim/ sportswear washes: make production wash standards when garments are import, provide costing on denim washes when requested.
Complete detailed wash sheets for wash development.
Keep track of in house blanks, request cutting of blanks and development blanks when needed.
Organize wash standards and wash developments.

Learns quickly and needs little supervision when tasked.

Thrives in efficiency and organization, willing to work hard and hit strict deadlines.
REQUIRED MINIMUM
Experience:
2 years of experience in apparel design.
Efficient in MS office, Excel.
Intermediate skills in Adobe, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat.
Record of accomplishment within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
PREFERRED
Experience:
Denim design knowledge preferable.
Full Circle experience a plus.
Advanced ability in Adobe.
3 or more years in design with a lifestyle brand companies.
Full Circle experience.
