About the role.
As a nutritionist at The Vitamin Shoppe , you'll be one of the first faces our customers see (and hopefully, one of the most memorable!). Your main responsibilities consist of conducting one-on-one nutritional consultations as well developing and delivering workshops in-store and in the community. You'll also be responsible for helping to create entertaining, appropriate, and on-brand social media content.

Job
Summary:
The Nutritionist is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to customers. The Nutritionist represents the Vitamin Shoppe brand to our customers and advises on matters of food & nutrition. Nutritionists must be self-starters, self-promoters, efficient, able to sell, and focused on exceeding our customer's expectations. The Nutritionist must be able to operate outlook, basic nutritionist software, and scheduling systems. Nutritionists must have the ability to travel between multiple stores. This position supports the environment of health and wellness that the Vitamin Shoppe represents.
Responsibilities
Ability to leverage expertise to perform effective nutritional consultations.
Ability to design personalized meal plans, and personalized supplement plans for customers.
Ability to analyze bloodwork and biomarkers.
Facilitate workshops in a store environment to educate customers on nutrition.
Facilitate workshops outside or our stores to educate the community on nutrition.
Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and co-workers.
Ability to effectively engage with customers on sales floor
Collaborate with the store team to train and broaden store teams' nutritional education.
Assist store team in basic store operations if needed.
Maintain valid Driver's License.
Other Functions:
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Bachlor's Degree in Nutrition from an accredited university. Master's Degree and Cerification as a Registered Dietitian ( RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDMN) preferred
Experience Required:
Three Years experience as RD or RDN preferred
Skill and Ability:
Execellent Communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Self-promoter/self-starter who is comfortable searching out new business
Solid software skills
Flexibility to work weekends
