Job Description JOB PURPOSE- The Sports Marketing Coordinator is part of a team whose mission is to build positive and lasting relationships with current and future retail and events partners, athletes, consumers, and the community within running, golf, and pickleball.
This individual will provide marketing assistance and support on key initiatives determined by the Sports Marketing Team with the ultimate goal of increasing brand awareness and driving sell-through.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide support to the Sports Marketing Team.
Essential responsibilities include the following:
Learn all aspects of product and sports marketing by integrating into internal and external meetings.
Meeting scheduling, preparation and note taking.
Become familiar with the product offerings for Golf, Tech Running, and Pickleball to assist with creation of various marketing assets.
Update and manage all key Sports Marketing documents/assets on a regular basis Skechers Performance Branding Guidelines Legal Marks document Availability Reports Athlete Tournament Schedules Assist Sports Marketing team on all product seeding orders and shipping for athletes, ambassadors, and event partners.
Monitor and analyze global market trends, competitor's products, services, and marketing campaigns.
Track product availability dates on Garpac to help team understand when new styles will be available in our distribution center.
Manage the creation of all product discount codes for various initiatives across marketing, athletes, and events.
Work closely with various departments within Skechers Performance to collaborate on grassroots and event initiatives while supporting efforts to drive new event business / data capture at events.
Assist in the planning of a wide variety of national events within our golf, running, and pickleball divisions.
Liaison with other internal departments, such as Product, Retail, Visual Merchandising, Graphics, Advertising, and PR.
Job functions, responsibilities, and/or systems are subject to change at the discretion of management with or without prior notification.

Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS- A can-do, positive attitude, and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach.
Passion for and knowledge of the global sports industry.
An outgoing personality, enjoys interacting with people and working in a collaborative atmosphere.
Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize/coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high pressure, ever-changing environment.
Strong attention to detail and deadlines; great follow up skills.
Professional image and behavior.
Strong team player.
Ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment and work with a wide range of people (personalities, cultures).
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary; light travel required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- 3
years of proven experience in marketing coordination or a related role.
Knowledge of traditional core marketing and sales concepts.
Excellent knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
) with the ability to learn additional/proprietary software/programs.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Former high school or collegiate athlete preferred.
Additional Information PHYSICAL DEMANDS- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to walk; sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel.
The employee is occasionally required to sit for long period of times.
